Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha are the Only eids and there are no other Eids ?
Bismillah Nir Rahman Nir Raheem.
Allahumma Salle ‘Ala Syedina Muhammadin Wa ‘Ala Aalihi Syedina Muhammadin Wa Barik Wa Sallim
Eid ul Fitr & Eid ul Azha are the Only eids and there are no other Eids ?
Some people object the celebration of Meelad-un-nabi ( Sal-lal-lahu alaihi wa sallam ) and they are very uncomfort when some ashiqeens celebrate eid meelad shareef and also when we call this as Eid Meelad.
Let us see what we call the Sacred day of the week ( Juma ) :-
There are hadith shareef that the day of Juma is referred as Eid ul Jummah
Why Juma is referred as Eid day, enquired by Sahaba-e-ikhram rizwan allahi thaalah alaihim ajmaeens ?
The Reply from Huzoor e kareem ( sal-lal-lahu alaihi wa sallam ) was the day juma is celebrated as eid because it was the birth day of Hazrat Syedina Adam Alaihis salaam.
On the day of muslims prepare nice dishes etc and celebrate this day as eid only because of the birth of Hazrat Adam ( Alaihis salaam ) and not other reason mentioned in hadith.
Hazrat Ali ( Karam Allahu Wajhu ) once a Eid-ul-Fitr day of Ramzan was having a dry bread as eid food. Some Sahabas ( Rizwan Allahi thaalah Alaiheem ajmaeens ) visited and were shocked to see and asked hazrat Ali ( Karam Allahu Wajhu ) why he is eating dry chappati ( bread ). Hazrat Ali ( Karam Allahu Wajhu ) replied for a muslim all the days are eid days if he is away from sins.
If a muslim is clean from sins that means it is the most fortuanate day and it is the eid day for him. The Sahabas ( Rizwan Allahi thaalah ) were surprised to listen such an important reply from Hazrat Ali Karam ( Allahu Wajhu ). So it is confirmed from the above waqiya that eid day are not only eid ul fitr and eid al azha but also there are many other eids like eid e juma , eid meelad etc.
On the Meelad day or on the celebrations of Meelad day doing Esaal-e-sawab, organising majlis of fateha wo durood, keeping biyans of seerah, wearing new cloths on the meelad day , making sweets and dishes, distributing to poor and friends etc. All these good deeds are signs of momins who love beloved prophet syedina muhammadur rasool allah to great extend and these things create a relationship with a ummati and beloved nabi e kareem ( sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ). Rememberance and love and doing Tazkarahs are part of the imaan.
Also note the entire Islam and all the practices of worship in Islam are celebrations in the rememberance of Anbiyas . What Anbiyas have done were are following the same acts which have become part of worship. For example Salah ( Namaz ) the five times prayers are actually the rememberance of different anbiyas. Entire hajj is also based on the celebrations . So Islam is the religion of celebrations which the anbiyas have followed and their rememberance and actiivities which the anbiyas have performed are part of worship which we follow.
The Greatest Eid in the world is Eid Meelad un Nabi ( Sal-lal-lahu alahi wa sallam ) by which darkness disappeared and the entire universe have witness rahmaths and barkaths of Allahu subhaanahu thaalah.
